Abstract
TAS Torino has been involved in Space science missions since more than 40 years and is now one of the major players in the European satellite industry. After an overview of the key projects from the recent past, the presentation will focus in particular on the missions currently on going or under development (BepiColombo, Solar Orbiter and Euclid). BepiColombo and Solar Orbiter satellites have been launched respectively in 2018 and 2020 and, in a few years, will give unique opportunities to better understand the inner and hottest part of our solar system. Euclid, an astronomical satellite designed to systematically study dark matter and dark energy, has been launched on 1st July 2023, to reach the L2 observation point at 1,5 million km from Earth. The missions and the main features of these satellites will be presented, in relation with the direct role of Thales Alenia Space Torino on their development. Finally, as an outlook to the future, the next candidates Science missions under preliminary study with ESA, namely Envision, LISA and NGGM, will be briefly addressed.
